Carl Alexander's Pedestal

Part of the Bauhaus Universität, Weimar MFA "Public Art and New Artistic Strategies" WALK OF ART series, an alternative guided tour. Here, the artist introduced Carl Alexander's empty pedestal at Goetheplatz in Weimar. Using an acetate photograph of the site taken about 100 years earlier, the intervention allowed participants to "go back in time" to see the statue that once stood there before it was removed by the Nazis in 1938.
